The Arlington Police Department has announced an arrest in the slaying of 56-year-old Tho Tieu who was run over by a vehicle and killed during a robbery outside the restaurant where she worked. APD detectives say they obtained an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Fernando Taylor who has been arrested on one count of Capital Murder.

Taylor was apprehended in the Houston area without incident. APD believes Taylor followed the victim for an extended period on the morning of the incident while she traveled to multiple businesses and the restaurant. It is not known why the suspect took an interest in Tieu.

At the restaurant, detectives believe Taylor pulled up next to the victim and stole her purse before driving away. It is believed that the victim fell to the ground and was run over by the suspect’s vehicle as he fled.
