The Plano Police Department has announced the arrest of an educator for inappropriate communication with a child. On January 8, 2024, an allegation was made regarding an educator who allegedly groomed a child. PPD said the subject was identified as 32-year-old Jacob Thomas Allred who was employed at Great Lakes Academy at 6000 Custer Road in Plano.

The allegations revolve around the subject sending inappropriate messages to a child student at the school in a sexual manner. Following the issuance of a warrant, Allred was taken into custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the Plano Police Special Victims Unit Tip Line at 972-941-2044.
