The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a female suspect who stole a French bulldog. Around 3:45 p.m. on January 18, 2024, the victim was eating at a patio dinner in the 800 block of South Grand Avenue with her French Bulldog, Onyx. The female suspect picked up the dog and fled.

The victim chased the suspect who entered a white four-door sedan driven by another suspect. The victim attempted to stop the suspect vehicle by jumping onto the hood of the vehicle as it traveled southbound. The victim later fell and the suspect got away. The victim was treated for minor abrasions at the scene.

According to LAPD, the first suspect is described as a black female approximately 25 years ago. The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 25 years old. The vehicle is described as a white KIA Forte.
