Pittsburgh Police investigating shooting following Shot Spotter notification

The Pittsburgh Police Department is investigating a shooting without injury following a thirteen-round Shot Spotter notification. Zone 1 officers responded to the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue around 5:45 p.m. after a Shot Spotter alert. At the scene, officers were met by a 17-year-old male victim.

The victim informed officers that he had pulled up to his residence and was about to unload his groceries when he was confronted by two male assailants who began shooting. Cameras recorded the incident allowing authorities to apprehend two suspects a short time later.

The victim was not injured during the shooting. A nearby occupied home was struck by bullets. No one inside the home was injured. A vehicle was also struck.
