The Chesapeake Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday night. Around 7:36 p.m. on January 21, 2024, CPD officers responded to the 1300 block of Macdonald Road in reference to an injured person. At the scene, officers located a 15-year-old male and two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.

All victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 15-year-old victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. One adult male is in critical condition while the other was treated for a non-life-threatening wound. The incident is still under investigation.
