The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide on Russet Leaf Trace. Around 3 a.m. on January 21, 2024, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators responded to 4643 Russet Leaf Trace to investigate a homicide where multiple people had been shot. There are three confirmed deaths at this time.

Units responded to the residence after authorities received multiple calls for service. At the scene, patrol deputies detained multiple witnesses and provided aid to the wounded. Three adult males were taken to nearby hospitals. An adult male and an adult female were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Another adult male succumbed to his injuries shortly after reaching the hospital. Investigators say a birthday party was going on inside the residence when an altercation occurred between two or more individuals. A shootout occurred between an unknown number of individuals.

Gunshots were fired inside and outside the house. Homicide investigators say they viewed videos from witness cell phone and security cameras to try to find out what happened and why.
