The Pomona Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred on the morning of January 20, 2024. According to a media release from PPD, patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 500 North Claremont Place around 2:30 a.m. on January 20.

At the scene, officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased. A second victim was taken to the hospital where they are listed in critical condition. Homicide Investigators have assumed control of the investigation.

At this time, the motive for the crime is not known. The victims are only being described as two adult males.
