According to a social media post from the Baltimore County Police Department, officers responded to the entrance of Red Run Valley Stream Trail in the 10600 block of Red Run Boulevard in Owning Mills in reference to an attempted sexual assault on November 16 at approximately 8:25 AM. Police say the female survivor said a black male subject with a thin build between 18 and 25 approached her along the trail and attempted to assault her sexually. The suspect is described as standing 5’7” to 5’9”.

At this time, the suspect is not believed to be the same individual, according to police. Detectives are asking for anyone who works or resides near Red Run Valley Stream Trail to check camera footage that may have recorded the suspect between 7 and 8:30 AM.
Anyone with information is urged to call 410-307-2020 or contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Residents are asked to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately by calling 911. Police want residents to expect a police presence along the trail.
