The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal stabbing that happened on December 18, 2023. According to SCSO, an adult male victim arrived at the hospital with a possible gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased a short time later. Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives and Rancho Cordova Police Department officers responded to the area of Viking Drive and Egmont Way where the shooting was believed to have occurred.

Detectives say they learned that the victim had been stabbed during a fight and had not been shot. Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives say they identified two juveniles as suspects. The suspects include a male juvenile and a female juvenile. On January 19, 2024, both suspects were arrested without incident.

The male juvenile was apprehended in Grass Valley. The female was arrested in North Sacramento.
