The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a homicide in the 1800 block of Touro Street that left one victim dead. According to a media release from NOPD, a gunshot victim arrived at the hospital via private conveyance around 2:11 p.m. on January 19, 2024. The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Detectives say they determined that the location of the shooting was in the 1800 block of Touro Street. NOPD said investigators are gathering evidence and information to identify the person or persons responsible as well as the motive. No additional information is available at this time.
