The Houston Police Department has released a composite sketch of a wanted suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in December. The shooting occurred at 1700 Gulf Freeway around 1:05 a.m. on December 10, 2023 and killed a woman and injured a man.
According to a media release from HPD, the suspect is described as a light-skinned black male in his 20s. He reportedly had dreadlock-style hair with blonde dye in places. The suspect was driving a newer model black sedan.
The suspect is wanted for his role in the slaying of 17-year-old Louise Jean Wilson. HPD Homicide Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective C. Bowling reported that patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the aforementioned address and found a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the freeway.
Inside the vehicle, police discovered an unresponsive female and a male. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds. Louise Jean Wilson was pronounced deceased. The 17-year-old male was taken to the hospital for treatment and released for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Authorities say the preliminary investigation determined that Wilson was driving.
She swerved in front of a black or dark-colored four-door sedan in an attempt to avoid hitting a braking vehicle. The sedan moved to the left of Wilson’s vehicle before shots were fired from the passenger side window. A second male passenger in Wilson’s vehicle was not injured. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
