Vallejo Police Department arrests burglary suspect after business owner spots them on the roof

The Vallejo Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a business burglary. Around 10:35 a.m. on January 10, 2024, the Vallejo Police Department received a report of a person burglarizing a business in the 1300 block of Lemon Street. The business owner spotted a male on the roof after the business was burglarized.

The victim business owner informed VPD that this was the second time the suspect had targeted his business. The victim provided police with video footage of the suspect wearing the same clothes during the first incident and explained that the suspect stole roughly $2,500 in merchandise.

Officers established a perimeter and located the suspect at the back of the business. The suspect was detained without incident and was still in possession of the stolen property, according to VPD. The suspect was booked into the Solano County Jail.
