Portland Police are on the scene of a shots fired situation at an apartment complex in downtown Portland. According to a media release from PPB, the Special Emergency Reaction Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team have been activated and are responding to a report of shots heard from inside an apartment. At this time, there are no known injuries.

Authorities say the incident is taking place on the 8th floor of 140 Southwest Columbia Street. Residents of the complex have been alerted of the situation via the Public Alerts system and have been asked to remain inside and lock their doors.

Portland Police Officers may evacuate some units. No streets have been closed at this time, but there may be closures as more police resources reach the scene.
