The Pomona Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred around 7:34 p.m. on January 12, 2024. Pomona Police officers responded to a three-vehicle collision at Garey Avenue and Alvarado Street. According to a media release from PPD, all parties were injured with the extent of their injuries ranging from moderate to severe.

The involved parties were treated on-scene before being transported to an area hospital where one of the involved drivers passed away. The driver is only being identified as a Hispanic adult male. The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
