Sumner County Sheriff’s Office arrests Myron Hughes for allegedly posing as rideshare driver to rob two women in Nashville

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in a robbery case. Myron Hughes is accused of posing as a rideshare driver and committing armed robberies against two female victims in downtown Nashville. Just before 8:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024, deputies responded to a License Plate Reader alert of a felony vehicle on Highway 109 in Portland.

According to SCSO, the vehicle was linked to an armed robbery in Metro-Nashville involving Myron Hughes. Hughes allegedly robbed two women at gunpoint in downtown Nashville on Sunday while pretending to be an Uber driver. The victims were expecting a female driver so they were surprised when Hughes arrived in a Kia Forte.

SCSO deputies located the suspect’s vehicle which turned into the Dollar Tree on Highway 109. Hughes exited the vehicle and entered the store. Deputies and Portland Police Department officers apprehended Hughes as he was exiting the store without incident.
