The Houston Police Department is investigating after a man was found deceased at 1301 Commerce Street. According to a media release from HPD, police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at the aforementioned location around 6:20 p.m. on January 10, 2024.

The man’s identity is not being released at this time. According to HPD detectives C. Vaughn and A. Herrera, a Harris County Constable deputy was flagged down by a person who said there was a deceased man near the bayou at the aforementioned address. Officers responded and found the man’s body in an advanced state of decomposition under a pile of brush.
