Livermore Police arrests 39-year-old sex offender who allegedly performed lewd act at Granada High School campus

The Livermore Police Department has announced the arrest of a 39-year-old man who allegedly performed a lewd act on the campus of Granada High School. Just after noon on January 11, 2024, police responded to a report of an adult trespassing near the football field at the school at 400 Wall Street. A School Resource Officer responded to the area before the suspect fled.

Other officers with the Livermore Police Department located the man in a creek area behind the campus. The suspect was identified as 39-year-old George Michael Tomlin who is a registered sex offender. According to a social media post from LPD, the preliminary investigation indicates Tomlin committed a lewd act on school groups.

Police say he is also suspected of inappropriately exposing himself to a female student on campus. Police do not believe there was any physical contact. Tomlin also had drugs and drug paraphernalia on him, according to police. Tomlin was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

He is facing multiple charges, including unlawful entry onto school grounds by a registered sex offender, indecent exposure, and drug possession.
