Morris County Prosecutor announces charges against man accused of human trafficking

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll announced that a man had been charged with two counts of Human Trafficking, two counts of Luring, five counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, one count of Possession of a CDS with Intent to Distribute, and one count of Possession of a CDS. The charges against 25-year-old Nafis H. Wiggins were announced by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Chief Thomas Miller of the Chatham Township Police Department.

Between August 1 and September 28, 2023, authorities allege that Wiggins provided narcotics to two victims aged 14 and 15 in exchange for sexual favors. He allegedly recruited and lured the minors via text messages. It is alleged that the defendant met with the victims in Chatham Township and Chatham Borough and transported them in his vehicle to secluded areas to engage in drug use and sexual activity on several occasions.

When Wiggins was arrested at Cougar Field on December 19, 2023, he was allegedly in possession of CDS.
