The Wichita Police Department is investigating a fatal hit and run crash that claimed the life of 52-year-old James Dolton. The victim was fatally struck by a vehicle in the 2400 block of Seneca Street around 9:40 p.m. on January 8, 2024. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he passed away.

WPD said the preliminary investigation indicates that a gray vehicle may have been involved in the crash. The vehicle may have sustained front-end damage and damage to the front windshield. WPD is asking for the public’s help in finding the individual responsible.
