The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened around 3:12 p.m. on January 7, 2024. Around that time, officers responded to the 1200 block of Catalpa Street in reference to a shooting. At the scene, officers found an adult male who was suffering from a gunshot wound that appeared to be non-life-threatening.

Officers learned that a second victim had received a ride to an area hospital. The second male victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Once detectives were notified, an investigation was initiated. No suspect information is available at this time.
