The Houston Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 9012 Clinton Street. The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on January 2, 2024. At this time, the identity of the 48-year-old male victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Cassio, officers responded to a report of a crash at the aforementioned location and found a black Mercedes sedan crashed into a ditch. The driver had suffered multiple gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 29-year-old passenger had a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. According to investigators, the suspects are two unknown black males who fled in an unknown direction.
