The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting at Shady Lane Park at 10200 Shady Lane. According to HPD, witness reports indicate that the family was walking in the park when they heard gunfire and noticed their three-year-old son had been struck in the leg. As the victims were driving to the hospital, they saw an HPD Unit.

HPD said the officer applied a tourniquet to the boy’s leg before he was transported by the Houston Fire Department. The victim was alert and talking when he was transported to the hospital.
