The Red Bluff Police Department has arrested a 23-year-old man for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a man multiple times. Around 5:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023, Red Bluff Police Department officers responded to the 900 block of Otis Court for a report of a stabbing. At the scene, officers located a 55-year-old man in the residence with multiple stab wounds on his body.

Police say the suspect, who was identified as 23-year-old Anthony Martinez, was also in the residence. Investigators say it was learned that Martinez and the victim had been involved in a disturbance that resulted in Martinez stabbing the victim multiple times.

Martinez was taken into custody and booked into the Tehama County Jail for attempted murder. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the victim’s condition is not known.
