A 51-year-old man is in custody following an investigation into a stabbing on December 27, 2023. James Andre Hunt was arrested on assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Millbrook Road and Glenwood Avenue at about 1:41 p.m. on December 27, to investigate a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found an adult female suffering from serious injuries. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, officers determined the female victim knew the suspect.
