The Alexandria Police Department is on the scene of a shooting at the McDonald’s on Duke Street. According to APD, there is a heavy police presence at the McDonald’s at 5311 Duke Street as they investigate a shooting.

It is believed that two adult males who knew each other were involved in a fight. The fight escalated when one of the men was shot. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to APD.

The victim was taken to the hospital. There is no word about the suspect or whether anyone is in custody.
