The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect who is accused of robbing and stabbing a woman. According to a news release from the RSCO, deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to the 24900 block of Sunnymead Boulevard to investigate a robbery and stabbing around 7:05 p.m. on December 24, 2023. Authorities say a female victim was confronted by an adult male suspect.
The suspect reported threatened her, took her purse and jewelry, stabbed her, and fled on foot. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. Responding deputies were not able to initially locate the suspect. During a canvass of the area, an adult male matching the suspect’s description was found at a nearby park.
Police say the man was still in possession of the victim’s belongings. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Deondre Outley Jones of Moreno Valley. Jones has been arrested for robbery, attempted murder, and criminal threats.
He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center with a $1,000,000 bail.
