The Annapolis Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Around 3:09 p.m. on December 26, 2023, officers responded to calls at the aforementioned location. At the time, officers did not find any victims or ballistic evidence. Hours after the initial alert, Annapolis Police confirmed it had found shell casings in the 1100 block of Madison Street.

Around 7:40 p.m., the Annapolis Police Department still had not located a victim. Area hospitals were advised of the incident. More information will be released when it becomes available.
