A Fort Worth, Texas man active in the Texas National Guard has been sentenced to 72 months in prison for possession of child pornography on December 1 following an investigation by HSI. Court documents explain that Texas Department of Public Safety troopers carried out a traffic stop near Del Rio on December 17, 2021.

23-year-old Jesus Gaytan III and a minor were passengers in the vehicle. Following questioning, authorities learned they were involved in a sexual relationship. When authorities reviewed Gaytan’s cell phone, they found a video of Gaytan and the minor engaged in sexual acts.

Gaytan was arrested during the traffic stop and has been in federal custody since. On March 14, 2022, he pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.
