The Allegheny County Police Department announced that its Homicide Unit had responded to a request for assistance in Carnegie. 911 received a report of a stabbing in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue around 12 a.m. on December 23, 2023. At the scene, first responders located an adult female victim with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she is in critical but stable condition. Homicide detectives are investigating the matter. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
