The Sacramento Police Department has announced an investigation into two unusual deaths in the 7300 block of Meadowgate Drive. Around 9 p.m. on December 21, 2023, SPD officers responded to the aforementioned location for reports of a possible disturbance. Inside the residence, they found an adult male who was hanging. The male was brought down and provided medical aid.

A female adult was also found at the scene with at least one stab wound. The female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have responded to assume control of the investigation.

The victims’ identities are being withheld until the next of kin can be notified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
