The Irvine Police Department announced it had arrested a 60-year-old sex offender for committing lewd acts with a 13-year-old. On December 18, 2023, a School Resource Officer was called to an Irvine middle school after a 7th grader reported that Enrique Flores Martinez touched her inappropriately on several occasions. Police say Martinez is known to the victim.

The victim claimed the first two incidents occurred in 2021 in Irvine while the third occurred in Santa Ana in 2023. The most recent incident occurred in Irvine on December 17, 2023. Detectives with the Irvine Police Department found Martinez at a post office in Santa Ana and took him into custody without incident.

Martinez was booked at the Orange County Jail for lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14. Anyone with information about this incident should contact Detective Brian Felling at 949-724-7189.
