Homicide Unit detectives with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Lauderdale Lakes on Monday afternoon. Around 12:38 p.m. on December 18, 2023, authorities received reports of a shooting in the 4100 block of Northwest 30th Terrace in Lauderdale Lakes.

Deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
