The Prince George’s County Police Department announced an investigation into a fatal shooting that happened on Monday afternoon. The victim in the case has been identified as 40-year-old Rashik Jones of Landover. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.

Around 1:10 p.m. on December 18, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 7000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. highway in Landover. At the scene, officers found a victim outside with gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are still working to identify a motive for the shooting as well as a suspect or suspects.
