The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in a 15th Avenue North alley. According to MNPD, a man was shot in an alley in the 1800 block of 15th Avenue North around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday. 34-year-old Dominique Bonds knocked on an apartment door nearby before collapsing.

Bonds was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities say a motive is still under investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.
