James Coley III arrested by Fairfield Police despite having twelve aliases

The Fairfield Police Department has announced the arrest of a man with twelve aliases. Around 2:30 p.m. on December 12, 2023, an officer with the Fairfield Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2200 block of North Texas Street. When the driver refused to yield, a pursuit was initiated.

The driver fled north on North Texas Street to Alaska Avenue. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot across Air Base Parkway. Officers took him into custody a short time later. FPD said the man gave a false name to officers. He was later identified as 38-year-old James Coley III.

FPD arrested Coley for felony warrants out of Georgia which included four armed robberies and four violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism Act. FPD said Coley uses twelve aliases and had several other warrants which had limited extradition.
