The Boston Police Department announced that a suspect had been charged after a shooting in Roxbury. According to BPD, detectives with District B-2 obtained an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Christopher Meade on December 18, 2023. Meade was already in custody for a separate incident.

He will be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building. Around 3:51 a.m. on December 4, 2023, District B-2 officers responded to the area of 48 Clifford Street in response to a person shot.

Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
