Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department charged an 18-year-old and 21-year-old in the shooting death of 18-year-old Keandre Simpson. Lester Augustus and Isaiah Reed were remanded to the East Baton Route Parish Prison on a first-degree murder charge.

Augustus and Reed allegedly fatally shot Simpson at 2888 Dougherty Drive on November 18, 2023, at approximately 9:50 p.m.

Lester Augustus and Isaiah Reed are facing an additional charge of first-degree attempted murder.
