According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Communications Center received a call that shots had been fired near the Advanced Auto Parts on Highview Road and East Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Brandon on November 10, 2023 just before 4:30 PM. When deputies reached the scene, they found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The scene is contained. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said there is no active danger to the public. The investigation is still active.
