New Hampshire State Police responded to the area of Route 16 in Pinkham’s Grant at approximately 11:37 a.m. on December 17, 2023, to investigate a report of a serious motor vehicle crash.

Following a preliminary investigation, troopers determined a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD pickup truck, belonging to the Errol, New Hampshire Fire Department, was traveling northbound on Route 16 when it collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Route 16.

The driver of the Errol Fire Department Chevrolet Silverado was identified as 63-year-old Bradley Eldridge of Errol. Medics transported Eldridge to Memorial Hospital in Conway for treatment of potentially serious injuries.

The driver of the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was identified as 60-year-old Richard Gauthier of Gorham, New Hampshire. Medics transported Gauthier to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

A passenger of the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was identified as 54-year-old Linda Gauthier of Gorham, New Hampshire. Linda Gauthier was pronounced deceased at the scene.
