The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 1200 block of Princeton Avenue Southwest. At 5:42 PM, West Precinct officers were responding to a report of someone who had been shot. Upon arrival, responding officers entered a residence at the aforementioned location and found an adult male unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire And Service arrived at the scene before the victim was pronounced deceased. According to the Birmingham Police Department, the preliminary investigation suggests that neighbors heard gunshots and called 911. At this time, details regarding this investigation are limited.
