The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has announced it is investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store early this morning in South Stafford. Just before 2:30 a.m., a Deputy with the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7-Eleven on Solomon Drive for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, the deputy was informed by the clerk that a suspect had entered the store and produced a handgun. The suspect took cash and lottery tickets before fleeing the store on foot. The Strafford County Sheriff’s Office said deputies set up a perimeter and searched the area with a K-9 and drone to no avail.
The Sheriff’s Office is looking for a thin black male around 5’6” tall. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black jacket, black gloves, black pants, and white shoes. Anyone with information about this robbery should contact Detective M.L. Johnson at 540-658-4450.
