Tashius Tarese Pleasant charged with stealing from vulnerable adult and home care patient

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has announced that a McMinnville woman has been charged with stealing from a vulnerable adult. TBI agents began working with the Murfreesboro Police Department following a referral from Adult Protective Services.

TBI and MPD began investigating an allegation of theft from a home care patient by a paid caregiver in Murfreesboro. Agents learned that Tashius Pleasant was employed by a home healthcare company.

It is alleged that Pleasant used the victim’s funds to make personal purchases totaling more than $20,000 during a period from 2022 to 2023. A Rutherford County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Tahius Tarese Pleasant on November 9, 2023.

She has been charged with one count of Financial Exploitation of an Elderly/Vulnerable Adult and one count of Theft over $10,000. Pleasant was booked into the Rutherford County Jail with a bond of $52,000.
