Caldwell Police investigating gang-related shooting involving local Hispanic street gang

The Caldwell Police Department has announced it is investigating a gang-related shooting. According to a social media post from the Caldwell Police Department, a gang-related shooting occurred when several juvenile gang members with a local Hispanic street gang approached a residence near the 300 block of Berrypark Place and fired multiple shots into a home and vehicle parked nearby.

No one was struck by gunfire. While searching the area, officers found that two homes on Vista Park Drive were also struck by gunfire, but there were no injuries. The Caldwell Police Department said brave community members came forward and provided crucial information which allowed them to identify persons of interest in the case.

Detectives developed probable cause and arrested two gang members from Caldwell without force or incident. During the arrest, authorities recovered a stolen firearm. Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 3600 block of Middlepark Way and recovered another firearm.

A 14-year-old male was arrested for a probation warrant while a 17-year-old male was arrested for two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a stolen firearm, and gang enhancements.
