Littleton Police Department executed a warrant for the arrest of James Daigle on December 11, 2023. The arrest was in relation to a structure fire in Downtown Littleton that occurred on November 17, 2023.

On the above date, the Littleton Police Department responded to the northeast corner of Main Street and Prince Street to investigate a report of a building fire.

At the scene, officers found a three-story unoccupied building on fire. The flames were expanding into a nearby four-story apartment building at 5654 S. Prince Street. Officers immediately began evacuation of the occupied apartments as South Metro Fire Rescue and medics arrived.

As firefighters battled the fire, officers continued with the evacuation. The apartment building was not damaged by the fire but six units sustained water damage.

James Daigle has been charged with arson.
