While traveling along US 59, Deputy Shafi with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was flagged down regarding a potential road rage incident. The alleged suspect failed to heed a traffic stop. A vehicle pursuit ensued. After hitting two vehicles, the suspect vehicle came to a stop, at which time the suspect fled on foot near N. Macgregor Way and Almeda Road.
According to a social media post from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle pursuit caused minor damage to both vehicles and no injuries.
Deputy Shafi, with assistance from Sergeant Perkins, the suspect was apprehended. The suspect was later identified as 24-year-old Ariel Reynosa Flores.
Flores was determined to have an open parole violation warrant for a felon in possession of a weapon. Detectives have charged Flores with evading an aggravated assault.
Detectives believe Flores fired two rounds at another driver during a road rage incident. Bullet holes were found on the victim’s vehicle in the driver’s side door. The victim was not injured.
