The LAPD 77th Street Area Police is addressing a recent concern involving female students at Augustus F. Hawkins High School. Over the past week, there have been three reported incidents where a male has approached a student walking to school or leaving school and asked them to enter his truck. The man is reportedly driving a gray Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck. According to the LAPD 77th Street Community Police, he is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s or 40s.

As the investigation continues, the LASPD and Hawkins HS are asking parents, students, and community members to remain vigilant. They are also urged to report any suspicious activity.
