On August 20, 2022, Victorino Malabayabas was robbed and assaulted in the 600 block of South Kenwood Avenue. The suspect, Antonio Bardney was extradited on October 25, 2023, from Easter Correctional Institute in Westover, Maryland to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

23-year-old Antonio Bardney was charged with second-degree murder, according to the press release.
