Six suspects have been arrested and four are facing a charge of felony criminal mischief during a gathering in Downtown Portland. Central Precinct officers were aware of a planned protest near the World Trade Center Building 2 at 25 Southwest Salmon Street. A short time after 3 PM, security officers at the building informed police that protestors had gone up to the second level and some were attempting to force their way through locked doors to get inside the building.
Some participants were also vandalizing the building. Authorities responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers issued warnings over a public address system to inform participants they were trespassing on private property before instructing them to leave. Many left the scene before enforcement action was taken.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, five arrests were made at the scene.
- 21-year-old Sienna Otero of Portland – Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the second degree
- 19-year-old Eli V. McKenzie of Portland – Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the second degree
- 20-year-old Nathan s. Senters of Portland – Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the second degree
- 19-year-old Parrish N. Johnson of Portland – Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the second degree
- 33-year-old Emily S. Vanderlyn of Portland – Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree
Once police cleared the scene, another suspect was seen vandalizing the property. He was confronted, but the suspect eluded on foot. After a short chase, 24-year-old Troy A. Hunter of Beaverton was apprehended. He has been charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and escape in the third degree.
