The Seattle Police Department is investigating a shooting in the SODO neighborhood that left two men seriously injured. According to a news release from the Seattle Police Department, the Gun Violence Reduction Unit is investigating. 911 received reports from one of the two victims while they were traveling to the hospital shortly after 3:30 AM.
The man informed dispatch that he had been shot in the 1700 block of 4th Avenue South. A 20-year-old male and a 23-year-old male arrived at Virginia Mason Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police responded to the hospital and located the two male gunshot victims.
The men were transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Officers arrived at the 1700 block of 4th Avenue South and secured the scene. Gun Violence Unit Detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation. At this time, no suspects have been updated.
