According to a social media post from the Memphis Police Department, a 4-year-old shooting victim accidentally shot himself. Around 5:12 PM, officers responded to Methodist South Hospital where they learned that a 4-year-old shooting victim had been brought in by his parents.

Authorities say the victim was pronounced deceased at 6:03 PM. The shooting reportedly happened in the 4100 block of Bona Terra. Limited information is available at this time.
